The Advisory Council on Historic Preservation will host its next business meeting on Thursday, April 15, 2021, from 1:30 p.m.– 4 p.m. EDT. Due to continuing COVID-related conditions, it will take place using Zoom conferencing. There will be no in-person attendance and, due to technical limitations, only ACHP and ACHP member staff will be able to watch live.
The Advisory Council on Historic Preservation will have its fall business meeting on December 10. Due to the current public health emergency, the members will convene via Zoom. The limited agenda includes the following items:
1. Leveraging Federal Historic Buildings Working Group
2. Section 3 Report to the President 2021
The ACHP met for spring business April 4 in Washington, D.C. Members discussed a variety of wide-ranging topics and laid the foundation for the full-time chairman’s arrival.

The Marine Corps Poster Series highlights historic properties in Marine Corps care. The ACHP worked with staff at the Marine Corps and the National Park Service to support showcasing historic properties and giving the story of their founding and use by the Marines throughout history.
Members of the ACHP met March 22 in Washington, DC for their spring business meeting. They discussed the pending transition to a full-time chairman following the President’s announcement of his intent to nominate Aimee Jorjani to that position. Members will need to renegotiate the agency’s strategic plan and revisit the operating procedures and office structure. Chairman Milford Wayne Donaldson will be appointing a member task force to work on these issues in the near term.
