As required by the Government Performance and Results Act Modernization Act, the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation (ACHP) is developing a new Strategic Plan and is seeking input from stakeholders. The current Strategic Plan was developed in 2011 and amended in 2014.

The Advisory Council on Historic Preservation is now providing a new online/on-demand course, Early Coordination with Indian Tribes for Infrastructure Projects. The 90-minute course can be completed over a 30-day period.
The course is geared toward applicants for federal permits, licensing, or funding as well as federal permitting agencies and staff.

WASHINGTON, DC — A project that restored the historic Apollo Mission Control Center at Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas, to its late-1960s state was recognized today by the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation with the ACHP Chairman’s Award for Achievement in Historic Preservation.
HOUSTON, TX — Advisory Council on Historic Preservation Chairman Milford Wayne Donaldson FAIA, Executive Director John Fowler, and several staff members attended the ribbon-cutting and grand opening ceremony for the newly restored Apollo Mission Control Center (MCC) at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas, June 28.
The ACHP assisted with the funding of the project by managing the $4 million raised by Space Center Houston and the City of Webster, Texas. NASA cannot accept public donations that have a targeted purpose, but the ACHP has authority to do so.
