The ACHP knows history learning can happen anywhere. During this new reality of schooling from home, the ACHP wants to offer history resources that will surely educate and entertain as students and parents continue to work from home.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – President Donald J. Trump announced his intent to appoint Florida architect Rick Gonzalez to be an Expert Member of the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation (ACHP). The White House made the announcement yesterday.  

The Advisory Council on Historic Preservation staff is currently in telework status.

Get to Know Jay Vogt

WASHINGTON, DC – Advisory Council on Historic Preservation (ACHP) Chairman Aimee Jorjani today welcomed new Expert Member Jay D. Vogt and ACHP Observer Ann Pritzlaff Walker during the ACHP business meeting at the National Building Museum in Washington, DC. Vogt, appointed by President Donald J. Trump, was sworn in for a four-year term.

“The Advisory Council on Historic Preservation will benefit greatly from both Jay and Ann’s unique perspectives, wide-ranging experience, and long careers in the preservation field,” Chairman Jorjani said. “I look forward to working with them in the coming years.”

WASHINGTON, DC – The Advisory Council on Historic Preservation (ACHP) today unanimously passed a resolution in support of the Great American Outdoors Act. President Donald J. Trump last week asked for this bill from Congress that would fully fund the Land and Water Conservation Fund and address the long-term maintenance backlog in National Parks.
