The Advisory Council on Historic Preservation is the only federal agency whose sole mission is promoting preservation of America’s historic places. We help guide federal agencies in reviewing and addressing the effects of federal actions on historic properties. The ACHP also advises the President and Congress on historic preservation policy and fosters public awareness of the benefits of historic preservation. Learn more

President Names Voyles as ACHP Vice Chairman

In April 2025, President Donald J. Trump appointed Travis Voyles of Virginia as an expert member of the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation (ACHP) and has designated him vice chairman. His term will expire in June 2026.
