Development of an Updated Historic Preservation Plan for the Management of Historic Properties at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (TN)
The Department of Energy, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, is proposing to revise its Historic Preservation Plan and develop a new Programmatic Agreement (PA), in accordance with 36 CFR § 800.14(b)(3). The existing PA, The Programmatic Agreement Among the Department of Energy Oak Ridge Operations Office, the Tennessee State Historic Preservation Office, and the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation Concerning the Management of Historical and Cultural Properties at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, was originally executed in 2005.
Modification and Reuse of Building 9731 at Y-12 National Security Complex (TN)
The Department of Energy proposes to modify Building 9731 located at the Y-12 National Security Complex (Y-12) back to its original use as a training facility. Building 9731 was the first production building completed at the Y-12 site, and the first building to house the special equipment used for the electromagnetic separation process that enriched uranium used in the first atomic bomb. Implementation of the undertaking will reduce risk to workers and the public from potential exposure to hazardous material, allow for outdated systems to be replaced (i.e.

Programmatic Agreement for Section 106 Compliance at Fort Campbell (KY-TN)
Fort Campbell is proposing to develop a Programmatic Agreement for Section 106 compliance, in accordance with 36 CFR § 800.14(b)(2), to cover operations and maintenance activities and Section 106 responsibilities. Currently, there are two existing PAs and this new document would subsume both and create a consolidated document for compliance. The new agreement will outline a transparent process on how Section 106 will be met by the installation.
