The ACHP is recruiting for the position of a Program Analyst within the ACHP’s Office of Federal Agency Programs (OFAP), located in Washington, DC. OFAP plays a key role in meeting the ACHP’s mission to advise the President and Congress on historic preservation matters, and oversees the Section 106 review process.

The ACHP is recruiting an Assistant Historic Preservation Technician (GG-10/11) to coordinate documentation and correspondence to support the ACHP's work in the historic preservation review process required by Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act.

This position serves a critical administrative role in the Office of Federal Agency Programs in Washington, DC. The duties include receiving and reviewing Section 106 correspondence and routing it for review; assembling case data and generating reports; managing outgoing correspondence and documents; managing electronic records in accordance with government protocols; and providing other administrative support.

The ACHP is now recruiting for three permitting-related positions. These are full-time, temporary positions, with an initial 13-month term subject to further extension based on continuing funding. They are all remote work eligible.

The Advisory Council on Historic Preservation is recruiting a Training Specialist (GG-13) to coordinate the ACHP's Section 106 training program within the Office of Federal Agency Programs in Washington, DC. The position serves as the agency's primary adult education specialist; develops curriculum, class instruction, and guidance materials for general training and outreach concerning Section 106 and the National Historic Preservation Act; and plays a key role in sharing the ACHP's technical expertise on federal historic preservation requirements. The Training Specialist collaborates with other ACHP offices to develop and deliver classroom courses and distance learning, including a growing eLearning curriculum.
