Synopsis

Nationwide Programmatic Agreement Among the Department of Homeland Security, the National Conference of State Historic Preservation Officers, and the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation Regarding Department of Homeland Security Counter Unmanned Aircraft Systems Undertakings

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has a Nationwide Programmatic Agreement to address its use of counter-unmanned aircraft systems (C-UAS) for border security operations in the United States. These systems may occur in any location, including DHS, public, or private facilities or lands, where DHS is the sole or lead federal agency for a Section 106 review. The NPA establishes a process where effects to historic properties may be avoided through the use of excluded activities.
