The Bosie National Forest and the Payette National Forest have received a permit application from Midas Gold to redevelop portions of the Stibnite-Yellow Pine Mining District for a 20-year open pit mining and ore processing operation to develop and produce gold, silver, and antimony. This includes construction activities, mining and ore processing activities with concurrent reclamation, and final reclamation and closure. This permit will also require a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in accordance with Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 USC 1344).
