In 2013, the Programmatic Agreement Among the U.S. Army Garrison Fort Carson, the Colorado State Historic Preservation Officer, and the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation Regarding Construction, Operation, Maintenance, Development, and Military Training within Select Areas at Fort Carson, Colorado was executed and amended in March 2018. In the five years since the execution of the 2013 Programmatic Agreement (PA), U.S. Army Garrison Fort Carson has learned much since the implementation, and wishes to revise the 2013 PA, as amended, to include protection, inspection, and monitoring of historic properties, and expand the area of potential effect. This PA proposes to continue to coordinate and administer ongoing programs of operation, maintenance and development as part of its mission to provide support to soldiers and their families, while operating and maintaining installation lands, facilities, training areas, and ranges in support of Army readiness on Fort Carson.
