In 2017 the Programmatic Agreement Among the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, U.S. Department of the Interior Bureau of Land Management, and National Park Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the State Historic Preservation Offices for West Virginia and Virginia, and the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation Regarding the Mountain Valley Project (FERC Docket No. CP16-10-000) was executed. In accordance with Stipulation V.B, the Mountain Valley Project LLC has requested an amendment to include the Monacan Indian Nation and Sappony tribe as consulting/concurring parties.
