The United States Section of the International Boundary and Water Commission (USIBWC) intends to continue to improve capabilities or functionality of Rio Grande flood control projects (FCP) located along segments of the Texas-Mexico border from El Paso to Brownsville, to provide flood protection, to create boundary stabilization, and to ensure water delivery.
The FCPs include the Rio Grande Canalization Project (15 miles in Texas), Rio Grande Rectification Project (RGRP), the Presidio-Ojinaga FCP, and the Lower Rio Grande FCP.
