Programmatic Agreement Regarding Section 106 Compliance at Fort McCoy (WI)
Case Details
Fort McCoy proposed to develop a program Programmatic Agreement (PA) in accordance with 36 CFR § 800.14(b)(2) for Section 106 compliance for operation, maintenance, repair, and development activities at U.S. Army Garrison Fort McCoy. As a Total Force Training Center, Fort McCoy's primary responsibility is to support the training and readiness of military personnel and units of all branches and components of America's Armed Forces. Fort McCoy is home to a number of Army, Department of Defense, and State of Wisconsin activities, including over 30 tenant organizations. The objective of the PA is to facilitate a streamlined Section 106 review process for routine repair and maintenance activities, stipulate processes to address future undertakings that may affect World War II semi-permanent buildings, portable buildings and equipment of insubstantial size and scale, as well as unintentional discovery within the North Impact Area.
