The Mendocino National Forest has determined that the 2021 National Programmatic Agreement Among the US Department of Agriculture Forest Service, the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation, and the National Conference of State Historic Preservation Officers for Phasing Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act for Large-Scale Multi-Year Undertakings is applicable to the proposed Mendocino Fire Invasive Plant Species Project (Project), and it shall develop a Heritage Implementation Plan, in lieu of an individual programmatic agreement, to document how the phased Section 106 process will be completed. Project activities would treat current and future infestations of non-native invasive plant species using an Integrated Pest Management approach; combining manual, mechanical, herbicide, grazing, prescribed fire, and biological control methods.
