The Federal Highway Administration, through the Montana Department of Transportation, is considering a proposal by Missoula County to replace the existing Maclay Bridge over the Bitterroot River at a new location approximately 0.4 miles upstream from its current location. The County is proposing replacement due to long-term maintenance costs and future liability.
