The Advisory Council on Historic Preservation (ACHP) has a role in reviewing this
WASHINGTON, D.C. – President Donald J. Trump has appointed Travis Voyles of Virginia as an expert member of the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation (ACHP) and has designated him vice chairman. His term will expire in June 2026.
Members of the ACHP met March 19 in Washington, D.C. to discuss a variety of issues. Executive Director Reid Nelson and office directors briefed members on recent activities including budget and staffing; supporting recent executive orders involving energy, among others; and preparations for the commemoration of the nation’s 250th birthday in 2026. They also discussed planning for the agency’s strategic plan update.

The Advisory Council on Historic Preservation will be offering a variety of Section 106 training opportunities online via Zoom this spring. Office of Federal Agency Programs staff will present three timely webinars on the following dates in May:

While the ACHP membership has a number of vacancies, including the Chairman and Vice Chairman seats, with few exceptions noted below, ACHP operations related to the historic preservation review process under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (Section 106) continue unaffected.
