WASHINGTON, D.C.--The Advisory Council on Historic Preservation (ACHP), the Forest Service’s Heritage Program, Grey Towers National Historic Site, Monongahela National Forest, HistoriCorps, and the Youth Leadership Association/Camp Horseshoe partnered this summer with Lincoln University of Pennsylvania on a new program to train students in cultural resource management, historic preservation, conservation, and related careers.

The Advisory Council on Historic Preservation and the ACHP Foundation have announced a new partnership, the 21st Century Leaders Fellowship. Applications are being accepted now for this new program, which provides early career preservation professionals with a comprehensive understanding of historic preservation policy formulation and implementation at the national level. A primary program goal is to promote diversity in the historic preservation leadership. The deadline to apply is September 15, 2022.

The Advisory Council on Historic Preservation is now recruiting for the position of Executive Director, located in Washington, DC.

While the position is in the Senior Executive Service (SES), applicants need not be in the SES currently. It is open to the public as well as other federal employees. The primary duties of the position are to oversee the day-to-day operations of the ACHP, supervise its professional staff, and provide support to the ACHP chairman and membership.
