Travis Voyles joined the Trump Administration in January 2025 and serves as the Assistant Deputy Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). He most recently served in the cabinet of Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin as the Secretary of Natural and Historic Resources, where he advised the governor on natural resources and energy issues and oversaw five state agencies that protect and restore Virginia's natural and historic resources. 

Mr. Voyles has also served as Oversight Counsel for the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works under Sen. Shelley Moore Capito of West Virginia, coordinating the committee’s efforts for environmental, energy, economic development, and infrastructure issues, including primary oversight over a wide range of federal agencies programs and funding (DOT, EPA, Army Corps of Engineers, DOE, FWS, NRC, EDA). He also provided cross-cutting technical and legal input on legislative efforts, including the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and budget reconciliation efforts.

Prior to working in the Senate, Mr. Voyles served in multiple appointed roles at the EPA for the Office of Congressional and Intergovernmental Relations where he managed congressional investigations on issues pertaining to EPA rulemakings, policies, ethics, appropriations, and the Senate confirmation process for nominees. He served as the chief liaison between the agency; the EPA administrator; and other national, state, and local officials. He has also worked for the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Science, Space, and Technology.

Mr. Voyles received his law degree from Florida State University with a focus on environmental, energy, and land use law. While at Florida State, he was the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Land Use and Environmental Law and clerked for the Florida House of Representatives, the EPA, the Atlanta BeltLine, and a private law firm. Mr. Voyles also received his Master in City and Regional Planning from Georgia Tech, with a focus in economic development and environmental planning, and his Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the University of Georgia.
