Members of the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation met June 29, 2022, for their summer business meeting. Topics they addressed included discussion of the development of Section 106 exemptions for Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment and the Army's Vietnam War-era historic housing; ACHP plans to help with the shortage of qualified preservation professionals to fill federal jobs, including ideas for establishing core competencies in historic preservation at the college level and younger; as well as updates on new staff, climate change issues, Traditional Knowledge, and the ACHP's Policy Statement on Burial Sites, Human Remains, and Funerary Objects.

Members voted to support an increase in Historic Preservation Fund appropriations in FY 2023; the Japanese American World War II History Network Act Enhancement Act; and the African-American Burial Grounds Preservation Act by having Vice Chairman Jordan Tannenbaum write letters of support to Congress.
