Unified Federal Review Guidance
FEMA has published guidance on using the Unified Federal Review (UFR) for Environmental and Historic Preservation (EHP) Practitioners.
This Practitioner Guidance explains the UFR Process to EHP Practitioners. EHP Practitioners can use this Practitioner Guidance to implement the UFR Process tools, mechanisms, and best practices to facilitate more effective and efficient EHP reviews during disaster recovery. Many Federal Agencies established the UFR Process through the Memorandum of Understanding 1 The Sandy Recovery Improvement Act (SRIA), P.L. 113-2, January 29, 2013. 1 Establishing the Unified Federal Environmental and Historic Preservation Review Process (UFR MOU). The Parties to the UFR MOU have agreed to advance the UFR Process through several commitments, including a commitment to participate in the use and continuous development and revision of this UFR Guidance for EHP Practitioners and the EHP Guidance for Federal Disaster Recovery Assistance Applicants.
