State-Based Programmatic Agreement Between the US Department of Agriculture, Natural Resources Conservation Service California State Office, and the California State Historic Preservation Officer, Regarding Conservation Assistance

On May 31, 2002, the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation approved a Program Comment that facilitates the Army’s compliance with the National Historic Preservation Act with regard to its management of its inventory of Capehart and Wherry Era family housing and associated structures and landscape features.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency has developed a Prototype Programmatic Agreement (PPA), in coordination with the ACHP, to create a framework for FEMA in developing agreements to improve and expedite Section 106 compliance for disaster recovery activities.  The ACHP’s Chairman designated the PPA on December 17, 2013 in accordance with 36 CFR Part 800.14(b)(4).
