Carmen Jordan-Cox, PhD is a retired university vice president and judge/magistrate. She has more than four decades of experience as a higher education administrator and faculty member at colleges and universities across the United States and served one term on the Delaware Judiciary.

Jordan-Cox has a robust portfolio of civic and community engagement, advocacy, and organizational development. She has held leadership and advisory positions on numerous national, state, and local professional boards and task forces, including the Board of Directors of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (from which she received the “Pillar of the Profession Award”), the Division I Strategic Planning Committee of the National Collegiate Athletics Association, and the African-American Task Force of the 150th General Assembly of the State of Delaware.

Currently, Jordan-Cox is an adjunct professor at several mid-Atlantic universities and teaches doctoral courses in public policy and ethics. She is a freelance curator of stories about descendants of World War II soldiers and has worked on the restoration of several historic cemeteries in Delaware.

Jordan-Cox received her BA degree from Indiana University, MEd from Pennsylvania State University, and PhD from Boston College, and she completed postdoctoral study at Harvard University’s Institute for Educational Management.
