ACHP Chairman Aimee Jorjani and Preservation Program Specialist Judy Rodenstein of the ACHP’s Office of Preservation Initiatives today met with the ACHP’s new interns who are working remotely this summer. The ACHP welcomes Cassidy Bazley, Carolyn Hauk, and Brianna Jordan, who will be working on historic preservation projects and participating in online training and other networking opportunities to learn and grow their historic preservation portfolios.

Bazley is in her final semester at the University of South Florida in Tampa, where she is pursuing a master’s degree in Global Sustainability with a concentration in Sustainable Tourism. Her hard work and interests in cultural heritage tourism and historic preservation led her to the internship with the ACHP’s Offices of Federal Agency Programs and Native American Affairs.

Hauk is a rising senior at Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania where she is working toward her bachelor’s degree in art history and history with minors in public history and Italian. After interning for Appomattox Court House National Historical Park in Appomattox, Virginia, and the Carl Hammer Gallery in Chicago, her experiences led her to take an interest in historic preservation and intern with the Offices of Preservation Initiatives and Communications, Education, and Outreach.

Jordan will be starting her third year of law school at Roger Williams University School of Law in Rhode Island and continuing the first year of a master’s program in historic preservation at the Roger Williams School of Art, Architecture and Historic Preservation. Her dual degree has allowed her to blend her interests in law and preserving historic resources, which led her to intern for the Offices of General Counsel and Native American Affairs this summer.
