The Advisory Council on Historic Preservation (ACHP) is now recruiting for the position of Senior Program Analyst for Native Affairs (GG-14) within the ACHP’s Office of Native American Affairs (ONAA), Washington, DC. 

The primary duties of this position include but are not limited to developing findings and recommendations regarding Native American historic preservation issues that are presented to the ACHP membership for adoption as agency policy; and developing and advancing government-wide initiatives that support the ACHP's strategic goals for improving federal agency consultation with Indian tribes and Native Hawaiian organizations (NHOs) and the protection of Native sacred places.

Long-Time ED John M. Fowler Announces Retirement

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Advisory Council on Historic Preservation (ACHP) Executive Director John M. Fowler has announced he will retire on January 2, 2021. Fowler has served as executive director since 1997 and has worked at the ACHP since 1972. He previously served as the ACHP’s general counsel and deputy executive director. In 2010, his service was recognized with a Presidential Distinguished Rank Award.
